Rachel Roberts serves as the Executive Director of the Kentucky Cannabis Industry Alliance (KCIA), where she leads the state’s premier trade association in unifying and advocating for stakeholders across the emerging medical cannabis landscape.

A former member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, Rachel made history as the first woman to represent the 67th District and later served as the House Minority Whip—one of only six women in the Commonwealth’s history to hold a House leadership position. During her tenure in the legislature, she was a pivotal champion for cannabis reform, playing a key role in the passage of Senate Bill 47, which legalized medical cannabis in Kentucky. Her advocacy was instrumental in ensuring PTSD was included as a qualifying condition, reflecting her deep commitment to patient access and well-regulated industry growth.

Beyond her public service, Rachel is a seasoned entrepreneur. She is the founder of The Yoga Bar, a nationally recognized mindfulness center, and co-owner of RAKE Strategies, a branding and communications consultancy. Her unique blend of legislative expertise and business acumen allows her to bridge the gap between policy and practice, ensuring a thriving and equitable cannabis market in Kentucky.
