Jim Higdon is the co-founder and chief communications officer of Cornbread Hemp. A family-owned company based in Louisville, Kentucky, Jim co-founded Cornbread with his cousin Eric Zipperle in 2018. A best-selling book author and former investigative journalist, Jim has emerged as a national leader in the fight to preserve consumers’ rights to hemp products while advocating for broader cannabis reform.
Jim leads Cornbread Hemp’s advocacy efforts at the federal level and in states across the country. His work challenges state-level protectionist legislation, defends consumer access, and promotes a vision of responsible, safe, and accessible hemp regulation for the future. His efforts are aimed at preserving the hemp industry’s total addressable market at a national level by expanding responsible adult consumer access.
