Trip McDermott serves as Chief Operating Officer of Verano Holdings (Cboe CA: VRNO) (OTCQX: VRNOF), a leading, vertically integrated, U.S. multi-state cannabis company. As one of the largest cannabis companies in the nation, Verano has active operations across 13 states that include 15 cultivation and production facilities and more than 150 dispensaries that operate under the company’s flagship Zen LeafTM and MÜVTM banners.
Mr. McDermott joined Verano as Executive Vice President of Operations in 2021, where he actively collaborated with the executive leadership team and leaders from across all functions of the organization to drive excellence in standard operating procedures. In his role overseeing the Company’s robust commercial and CPG operations, Mr. McDermott and his team are responsible for the development of stringent cultivation and manufacturing operational procedures and processes, logistics and day-to-day operations to deliver Verano’s expansive suite of high-quality products to patients and consumers across its footprint.
Prior to joining Verano, Mr. McDermott spent nearly seven years as Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy at BellRock Brands, a Denver-based cannabis company, where he played an integral role in expanding the organization from one to eight markets, completed a merger with Mary’s Medicinals, executed and managed multiple third-party licensing transactions, and played a role in the company’s listing on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
Mr. McDermott received his bachelor’s degree in finance and entrepreneurship from Boston University and is based in the Denver area.
