Timothy C. McDonough has worked in both the private and public sector for over thirty years. One of New Jersey’s longest serving mayors; McDonough has been Mayor of Hope Township since 1991. As a registered Independent, Mr. McDonough has held several key management positions, Executive Director New Jersey Highway Authority, Deputy Executive Director of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. In these roles, he oversaw the successful integration of the high-speed E-Z Pass system into the State’s major toll roads and the merging the New Jersey Highway Authority and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.

Mr. McDonough has years of experience working with national, state, and local government leaders with great success. Currently active in the United States Conference of Mayors, McDonough also is a member of the Executive Boards of the New Jersey League of Municipalities and the New Jersey Conference of Mayors. A past president of the New Jersey Conference of Mayors and New Jersey League of Municipalities, he was named Mayor of the Year in 1995. Mr. McDonough is currently the Chairman of the Small Cities Task Force and sits on Urban Water Committee of the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Washington, D.C..

One of New Jersey’s leaders in the area of homeland security, Tim also serves as Chairman of the New Jerseys State League of Municipalities’ Hometown Security Task Force. Mr. McDonough is a current member of multiple organizations throughout New Jersey, including, Warren County Technical School, Law Enforcement Against Drugs (LEAD), New Jersey Citizens Corp, Hackettstown Medical Center Board, Atlantic Health Finance Board and New Jersey Employer Support of the National Guard (ESGR). Mr. McDonough is also President of The Success Group, LLC where he serves as a lobbyist for many prominent New Jersey based clients.
