Amelia Mapp was appointed a member of the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission’s board in March 2025. Prior to joining the agency, Commissioner Mapp served on the Union County Board of Taxation.
Over her decades of service, the Union County resident has worked tirelessly to champion the causes of women. She is a former chair of the Union County Commission on the Status of Women, and a volunteer with teen mothers in the Plainfield School District and with The Partnership for Maternal and Child Health.
Commissioner Mapp is a dedicated member of both the NAACP and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
Her professional background is in accounting and finance. She is a licensed New Jersey real estate agent and has worked for several pharmaceutical companies
